Cristina Soler Valero

Graduated in professional teachings of Spanish Dance from the “Reina Sofía” conservatory in Granada. He extended his training for two years at the Andalusian Dance Center (CAD) in Seville. Later he made the leap to Madrid where he graduated with outstanding marks in the specialty of Choreography and Interpretation of Spanish Dance and Flamenco, at the Superior Dance Conservatory "María de Ávila", Madrid.

began her flamenco training at the age of 3. She completed her Professional Degree in Spanish Dance at the “Reina Sofía” Conservatory in Granada. She later continued her training for two years at the Andalusian Dance Centre (CAD) in Seville and completed her Higher Education in Choreography and Interpretation of Spanish Dance and Flamenco at the “María de Ávila” Conservatory in Madrid, graduating with outstanding marks.

In 2013, she was awarded a scholarship by the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía during the creation process of En la memoria del cante 1922, under the direction of Rafaela Carrasco.

Throughout her career, she has worked in productions directed by leading flamenco figures such as Eva Yerbabuena, Rubén Olmo, Daniel Doña, Teresa Nieto, María Rovira and Marina Heredia, performing in national and international tours across major theatres and festivals.

In 2019, she joined the production Lorca y la Pasión, Un mar de sueños, led by Marina Heredia, with choreography by Eva Yerbabuena, sharing the stage with Farruquito, José Valencia, Miguel Poveda and José Quevedo “Bolita”.

In 2020, she premiered her first solo work, Los Males de España, directed by Rafaela Carrasco as her final higher education project. The piece received the highest distinction and was a finalist for the Extraordinary Award of the Community of Madrid.

In 2022, she performed in Sí, Quiero by the company of Mercedes de Córdoba, premiered at the Festival de Jerez. That same year, she also joined Nocturna by Rafaela Carrasco, premiered at the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla.

 

She currently combines her work in leading companies with regular performances in tablaos across Spain and internationally.
