Rest in peace Paco

Today is a day of mourning for the PLANET FLAMENCO. Grandmaster Paco de Lucía has left us at the age of 66 years. From here we offer our condolences to all his family, close friends, especially his nephew Antonio, who has worked with us so many times, ... and all the flamencos, for such an irreparable loss. Luis Adame, our Founder, and current President of the Academy of Arts and Sciences of Flamenco, had the enormous privilege of sharing a poster with him as a guitarist, and being his partner and friend.

Paco with the Adame family in Cordobes

We said goodbye to Paco with his voice:

Rushed lines for so many memories …

As Paco was born great, and timidly attractive, in his personality he loved himself immediately. I enjoyed his company and his friendship in our first youth: long conversations of truth seekers, sessions in his house with Camarón, preparing his records, with which we would both cry. Playing for Bambino with him at the old Circo Price Theater was just an anecdote in our friendship, but it allowed me to know him as a companion, noble and dazzling in any facet.

For many years we have been moved by his music, which transformed the guitar, to which he opened infinite paths of harmony with the millenary flamenco of his land.

Virtuoso and great composer, it will take a long time to be born, if it is born, an Andalusian so rich in adventure.

Our dear friend, we will continue listening to you and we will continue crying while we live.

Luis P. Adame
