Tablao Flamenco Cordobes celebrates its 55th anniversary with an exclusive flamenco show in Barcelona: Senderos del Flamenco, a special creation by renowned flamenco dancer and choreographer Jesús Carmona. From April 1st to 15th, 2025, the legendary tablao on La Rambla will host a unique artistic production that pays tribute to the history and essence of flamenco.
A journey through the “Senderos del Flamenco”
Jesús Carmona, one of the most outstanding figures in contemporary flamenco and one of Spain’s most awarded artists, was born in Barcelona and began his training at the age of seven. He became the Principal Dancer of the Ballet Nacional de España before founding his own company, where he has created acclaimed productions such as Baile de Bestias and Súper-Viviente. He has received numerous awards, including the Silver Medal and the Culture Award from the Community of Madrid (2023), two Max Awards (Best Male Dancer and Best Dance Show in 2022), the prestigious Benois de la Danse Prize (2021), the Gold Medal from the Real Cercle Artístic (2020), the National Dance Award (2020), the Ojo Crítico Award from RTVE (2019), and the Latin UK Awards (2018), as well as the Desplante Prize from the Festival del Cante de las Minas (2012). His talent has shone on renowned stages such as Sadler’s Wells in London, the Teatro Real in Madrid, and the Lincoln Center in New York. In 2023, he became the director of the Ballet Español de la Comunidad de Madrid, further cementing his impact on Spanish dance and flamenco worldwide.
