Once we have crossed the Rambla de Mar walkway, we return to the mainland! Now we go for a walk in the Rambla and see the first thing that attracts our attention: a man pointing to the sea in a 58 metre high column. He is Cristobal Colón, the sailor who discovered America and thought he was in India. An elevator takes us to the top of the monument where the discoverer is located. Up there we find a fantastic vantage point from which we can enjoy a splendid panoramic view of the port and the labyrinthine streets of Ciutat Vella.
