In the month of April 2019 the newspaper El Raval celebrated its 25th anniversary and was published uninterruptedly. The newspaper has been on the streets month by month since 1994 and has thus become the oldest of its kind in all of Barcelona.

El Periódico El Raval is a free publication that is financed through its collaborators, among which is Tablao Flamenco Cordobes, a historic local of Las Ramblas in Barcelona, founded in 1970 and located in El Raval. The newspaper El Raval focuses its activity on priorities such as disseminating general information that may be of interest to those who live or work in El Raval, disseminating the image of a multicultural neighbourhood with a rich heritage and social legacy, or supporting the initiatives of neighbourhood organisations by collaborating in the visibility of their activities and projects.

On April 11, 2019, the newspaper El Raval celebrated its 25th anniversary at the Casal de Barri Folch i Torres, to which collaborators, columnists, organizations, readers, etc. were invited. El Casal hosted an exhibition of the best front pages of the newspaper, as well as photographs of public figures and celebrities who have had or have a relationship with the neighborhood of El Raval.
