Rosalía
Rosalía has always recognised her passion for flamenco and this is not the first time she has visited Tablao Flamenco Cordobes, although it is the first time since her brilliant international recognition. After enjoying a show loaded with the leading flamenco figures, with artists such as Karime Amaya, Paloma Fantova, La Fabi and Yiyo Fernández, Rosalía decided to get on stage and sing for the audience attending the tablao (an intimate venue with a maximum capacity of 150 people). After receiving an invitation from the artists, Rosalía ended up on stage at the end of the show’s party to bring out her more flamenco side and improvise in bulerías with the artists present.
Last November 2018 Rosalía released her full album after releasing a series of videos to promote her new work. Her song “Malamente”, with flamenco roots, won two awards out of five Latin Grammy nominations. The singer has always shown her passion for flamenco culture, something she demonstrated through the album “El Mal Querer”, conceived as her thesis for the Superior Title of Flamenco at the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña.
Rosalía praised the extraordinary quality of all the artists and the work of Tablao Flamenco Cordobes for its effort to spread and defend flamenco in the day-to-day programming.
