On November 17, the fourth edition of the «Aula Flamenco» was held in the Plenary Hall of the Badajoz Provincial Council, in which the Award of Excellence was awarded to Luis Adame, founder and owner of Tablao Flamenco Cordobes, for his career as a flamenco guitarist and as an entrepreneur and promoter of this art. Also, the award was given to ‘La Marelu’ for his contribution to flamenco singing as an artist from Extremadura.
The renowned bailaora and choreographer Cristina Hoyos recapitulated Luis Adame’s career, sharing important professional and personal moments that have led him to become the benchmark he is today for flamenco enthusiasts.
Luis Adame shared anecdotes from his first years at Cordobes and recognized the great artists who have formed and continue to forge the prestige of the historic tablao on La Rambla in Barcelona.
Among many other words he commented:
«This Award for me, as you can imagine, honors me and I thank you all for it.»
The event presented by the bailaor Jesús Ortega, the first vice president Ricardo Cabezas and the journalist Laura Zhínos, was enlivened by the Cádiz-born cantaor David Palomar.
