Pure Flamenco Top

September is presented in Barcelona with a show of international stature in Tablao Flamenco Cordobes with Jesús Carmona (16 to 27) Karime Amaya, Paloma Fantova (1 to 19), Águeda Saavedra (20 to 30) and Tete Fernández. During the month of September the historic Las Ramblas venue in Barcelona hosts the show "Top Puro de Flamenco", which will also feature the cantaora La Fabi, the cantaores Luis El Granaíno, Zambullo, El Coco and Bocaíllo and the guitarists David Cerreduela, Tuto and Eugenio Santiago. Jesús Carmona (16th to 27th September)

Jesús Carmona is a bailaor (flamenco dancer) born in Barcelona and who began his training at the age of 7 in La Macarea and El Niño de Morón. He has a degree in Spanish Dance and Flamenco from the Instituto del Teatro y Danza de Barcelona. His professional debut took place at the Teatro Zorrilla with the Liceu Theatre Orchestra of Barcelona at the early age of 16. From this moment he began his professional career as part of the New Spanish Ballet. In 2006 he presented his show El Silencio de La Luna (The Silence of the Moon), which was very well received by the public and critics. Jesús has received awards as Best Outstanding Dancer in the Choreographic Contest of Madrid in 2011 and Desplante Trophy of the 52nd Festival Internacional del Cante de Las Minas de La Unión in 2012, the 3rd prize of Choreography in the contest of Nou Barris-2001 and mention Jóvenes Valores in the National contest of Flamenco Dance of L'Hospitalet - Barcelona 2002. In 2015 he premieres his show "IMPETU'S" and presents it in places all over the world such as Miami, Los Angeles or Santiago de Chile. In 2018 he begins the year with his new production "CAMINO" and obtains two awards in the Lukas Awards of London (best dancer and best production).

Karime Amaya (September 1 to 30)

Karime Amaya, a member of the Amaya family, is the niece of Carmen Amaya, La Capitana, the most famous dancer of all time. The bailaora debuted when she was nine years old and, since then, her artistic career has grown, performing in festivals and theatres all over the world such as the United States, Japan, Mexico, France or the most important flamenco festivals in Spain, among many other places. In addition, last November 2018 Karime Amaya premiered her own show at the SAT Teatre de Barcelona: La Fuente. 

Paloma Fantova (1 to 19 September)

Paloma Fantova is a flamenco dancer born in Cadiz who started dancing at a very early age. At the age of four she began to feel flamenco and at the age of eight she won the TVE talent contest "Premios Veo Veo". Paloma Fantova took part in Manuela Carrasco's choreographies in Japan and toured theatres all over the world such as New York, Washington, Paris, London or Cairo. In 2011 he participated in the show "Calé" by Joaquín Cortes and in 2012 he alternates his presence in Tablao Flamenco Cordobes in Barcelona with the presentation of his show "Sensibilidades". The bailaora has also participated in Tomatito's works and in the show in homage to the great bailaora Carmen Amaya, produced by Tablao Flamenco Cordoobes, together with Karime Amaya and Pastora Galván. In January 2019, Paloma Fantova presented its new show at the Jerez Festival: CUNA. 

Tete Fernández (1 to 15 September)

Ricardo Fernández, "El Tete", is a young bailaor born in 2000 in the bosom of a gypsy family (he is the younger brother of the bailaor Miguel Fernández "El Yiyo"), despite his youth he has earned a place in the field of flamenco dancing. The strength and elegance of Ricardo Fernández's dance is taking him to the top. "El Tete" shows great artistic maturity in his performances, in which he has always been surrounded by great flamenco artists. In recent years "El Tete" has already performed as a resident in flamenco halls and festivals. Among the references and influences that Ricardo Fernández has grown up with are Joaquín Cortés, José Maya, Farruquito and his brother "El Yiyo".

Águeda Saavedra (20th to 30th September) 

The bailaora Águeda Saavedra was born in Málaga and began her studies at the age of 7 in the conservatory of that city. At the age of 15 she entered the Conservatory of Dance in Madrid and grew up with masters such as "Betty", Cristina Visús, Currillo or Rocío Espada among others. Águeda Saavedra won first prize in the Dance Contest of the City of Ribarroja del Turio in 2009 and 2010 and gets a scholarship from the dance company of Antonio Najarro.  The bailaora has travelled with her flamenco dance to countries all over the world, such as the United States, England and Italy. She has also worked with great artists such as Jesús Carmona, with whom she has visited stages in China and Dubai, among others, with the show IMPETUS. The artist has also just participated in the series 'Arde Madrid', which covers the life of Ava Gardner.

Sara Barrero

Sara Barrero, a regular dancer in Tablao Flamenco Cordobes, began her career at the age of 16. She has danced in numerous national and international festivals such as the flamenco festivals of Paris, Marseille, Lyon and Nimes in France or the US Flamenco Festival among many others and has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Belén Maya, Fernando Terremoto or Eva La Yerbabuena. It should be noted that in the Festival Jóvenes Valores of the city of L'Hospitalet, rising as the first prize Carmen Amaya.
