José “Escarpín”
He is the winner of the "WORLD RECORD GUINNESS 2010" of heel tapping and winner of the "MELÓN DE ORO" festival of "LO FERRO" the only dancer in the world with this award.
José Miguel Fernández, artistically known as José Escarpín, was born in Murcia. He is the winner of the “WORLD RECORD GUINNESS 2010” of heel tapping and winner of the “MELÓN DE ORO” festival of “LO FERRO” the only dancer in the world with this award.
He began his studies at the age of 7 at the Amor de Dios school in Madrid with great teachers such as the great master Juan Ramirez, Carlos Velazquez, Alfonso Losa, Jose Maya, Nino Reyes, Antonio Canales, Tony “El Pelao” and La Tati among others.
He has taken his dance career to different parts of the world: Miami, Los Angeles, Arizona, Mexico, Texas, New York, Italy, etc. Furthermore, he has presented his shows in different theaters and different theaters and auditoriums around the world as the theater “Manuel Artime” (Miami) “Cesar Chávez” (San Luis De Arizona) “Benidorm Palace”, “Riojaforum”, “Palacio Prensa”, among others. He has participated in the Netflix documentary “The Creation of Malinche” and in the film “Mexico Flamenco”.
He is currently working with his own shows of creation and staging.
