His father was trained in jazz and classical dance before meeting with contemporary dance and martial arts during the nineties. His career and his curiosity made him enter the world of fashion, photography, video, music and theater. He has worked with renowned choreographers as Christine Fricker, Cazes Odile, Heddy Maalem or Fabienne Berger, among many others.
Ana Perez’s knowledge of music, her training and her first professional experiences were acquired in Marseille, where she shaped her dancing style and technique. Currently, she has been living in Seville for more than 7 years and has already performed in the best tablaos of the Andalusian capital.
She has performed the leading role in her own flamenco show in numerous theaters and festivals, captivating audiences and critics alike. She was considered the revelation of the festivals of Mont-de-Marsan and Nimes, to name a few. Later she could be seen representing the production of Andrés Marín entitled “Monochrome”, with Cristina Hall in Seville Biennale in 2014. She also closed the festival flamenco Düsseldorf in 2016 with a new project “Translucent”.
We could talk about Ana Perez as an authentic flamenco dancer. She carries with her a weight and maturity that impact the public as they see her. Her style and elegance bring a novelty to flamenco dance which is born from her personality, from her flamenco roots and contemporary culture open to the world from which she has been imbibed at home since she was a kid.
Those who have seen Ana Pérez on the scenario say that she shows sensuality and delicacy in every movement and what most glares you when you see her on stage is her rhythmic sense and unusual soniquete.
Ana Perez comes to Tablao Flamenco Cordobes Barcelona for the first time in October 2016. Do not miss her!
