Carlos Velázquez
He has toured major cities around the world being part of the most important Ballet Companies in the country.
Carlos Velázquez began his dance training at the age of 5 at Emilita Montensino’s school. In 2003, at just 8 years old, he made his stage debut at the Teatro Alcázar with the production Los flamencos somos así, sharing the stage with established flamenco artists.
He continued his formal training at the Real Conservatorio de Madrid and at the Escuela de Danza Amor de Dios, studying under renowned masters such as Eduardo Serrano El Güito, Rafael de Córdoba, Rosa Durán, and María Magdalena.
Throughout his professional career, he has performed as a soloist with leading flamenco companies, including those of José Greco, Carmela Greco, Rafael Aguilar, Antonio Canales “Camborio”, Lucía del Real, Paco Peña, Tito Losada, Belén López, and the Ballet Flamenco de Madrid.
He has taken part in large-scale productions such as Carmen and Il Trovatore, under the direction of Franco Zeffirelli, performing alongside Belén López. He has also appeared as principal solo dancer with his own company, notably at the Teatro Muñoz Seca.
His international career includes performances in Russia (Moscow), the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Israel, Japan, China, and Taiwan, as well as regular appearances in major Spanish theatres such as the Teatro Calderón, the Teatro La Latina, and the Teatro Arenal.
