NAME: David de la Jacoba

PLACE OF BIRTH: Motril (Granada)

FAMILY: Brother of the guitarist Carlos de la Jacoba

CAREER: He has an exclusive and unique voice and a perfect sense of rhythm and tuning. His attributes have brought him, along with Duquende, to Paco de Lucía’s company in the tour 2010, 2011 and 2012.

He came to Madrid in 2008 and started with some of the greatest artists: Niño Josele, El Güito, Joaquín Cortés…even the master Enrique Morente asked him to join the show “FEDRA” directed by Miguel Narro.

He joined the sextet of Tomatito in 2009 (along with Lucky Losada and José Maya).

In 2010 he joined Paco de Lucía’s group, performing in the most famous stages of the world. He combined these performances with other projects such as “La Misa Flamenca” by Tito Losada and other soloist performances.

Although he feels confortable in the most pure orthodox sing, he has also worked with figures of the Latin-jazz such as Giovanni Hidalgo, Jerry González, Alain Pérez or Caramelo, adding his emphatic voice to their musicality.

Now he works in his first recording project under the name: DAVID DE JACOBA, produced by the prestigious percussionist Lucky Losada and by Carlos de Jacoba, who are also part of the cast that will perform the record live. The record will be released with the collaboration of Pepe Habichuela, Tomatito, Pakete, Josemi Carmona, Raimundo Amador, Vaky, Iván Losada, Jesús del Rosario and another worldwide known artist we can’t reveal yet…
