Career: Manuel Fernández, El Carpeta, is part of the renowned Los Farruco family of dancers. Under the influence of his grandfather, the great Farruco, and his older brothers Farruquito and Farru, Carpeta is one of the most important and renowned young dancers in the world.
In his artistic career, El Carpeta has participated in shows and festivals in Spain and in important cities around the world such as Mexico City, Bogota, San Francisco, Washington and Rio de Janeiro among others.
Manuel Fernández, El Carpeta, has performed with internationally renowned artists such as Estrella Morente, Paco de Lucía, Miguel Poveda and Alejandro Sanz, among others. In 2016 El Carpeta received the revelation award from the International Flamenco Schools of Andalusia. In 2017 he participated in the Grammy Gala in Las Vegas, in tribute to the Spanish artist Alejandro Sanz.
In 2018, Manuel Fernández, El Carpeta, launched a new show entitled “A Bailar”. Directed by himself, the show has the participation of artists like Farruquito, Farru, Antonio Canales or his own mother, La Farruca.
