Ricardo Fernández, "El Tete", bailaor born in the year 2000 in Sant Roc, Badalona (Barcelona). Born into a gypsy family, despite his youth has earned a place in the field of flamenco dance. The strength and elegance of his dance is taking him to the top and shows great maturity in each of his performances, where El Tete has always been surrounded by great flamenco artists. The bailaor has had numerous shows behind him since he was young, in which he shows his emotion and admiration for flamenco dance and culture. Among the references and influences Ricardo Fernández has grown up with are Joaquín Cortés, José Maya, Farruquito and his brother "El Yiyo".
Ricardo Fernández, artistically known as “El Tete”, was born in 2000 in Sant Roc, Badalona (Barcelona). From an early age, he developed a close connection with flamenco, growing up surrounded by artists and influenced by leading figures such as Joaquín Cortés, Farruquito and José Maya.
Throughout the 2020s, he has built his professional career in Barcelona, participating in numerous flamenco shows and performance cycles, sharing the stage with established artists. This period has been key in shaping a personal style defined by strength, technical precision and elegance.
In 2025, he reached a major milestone by becoming a finalist in the Concurso Nacional de Arte Flamenco de Córdoba, one of the most prestigious and demanding flamenco competitions in Spain, consolidating his position as one of the most promising emerging dancers.
He currently performs regularly in Barcelona at leading venues such as Tablao Flamenco Cordobes and El Duende Flamenco Bar & Cocktails, presenting his work to both national and international audiences.
His artistic development has been primarily built through stage experience and continuous work alongside other artists, rather than through a formally documented academic path. As of 2025, his stage maturity and expressive capacity position him as one of the most promising young flamenco dancers in Barcelona.
