With only 11 years old, he began his training at the professional dance conservatory of Málaga. At 17, he was chosen to be part of the first Bienal of Flamenco de Málaga in 2005 called "Málaga Flamenca" presented to Miguel de Cervantes in Malaga Theater and shows in major theaters throughout Andalusia, where Sergio is constituted as a revelation of danceHe initiated his training in flamenco in the Málaga Professional Dance Conservatory at 11 years old. He initiated his formation in flamenco in the Málaga Professional Dance Conservatory at 11 years old. With only 17 years old he was selected to participate in the first “Bienal de Flamenco de Málaga” in 2005 in the show “Málaga Flamenca” that made its debut in the Miguel de Cervantes Theatre in Málaga. After its presentation, the show toured all of Andalusia with success, giving Sergio the status of a young flamenco promising star.
His professional career soared, touring all of Spain with success and later performing in the most prestigious international festivals and stages in Sweden, Shangai, Chicago, Colombia, Miami, Austria, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Argelia or Memphis, among others.
In 2006, with the show “Biznaga” Sergio performs the essence of the most known flamenco styles of Málaga in many important cities, such as Barcelona, Zaragoza, London or New York. Sergio was the First Prize in the Ronda XVIIth National Dance Contest “Aniya la Gitana”, allowing him to participate as well in the town’s festival.
In 2008 he develops the show “Málaga baila, Sevilla canta” along with the Sevillian singer Isabel Fayos, making its debut in the Alameda Theatre in Málaga. In 2009 he finally creates his own show “Pasito a paso”, where he tells the story of his short but intense career in the flamenco world.
His last work, “Enjundia Flamenca”, was presented in the Riversaltes (France) Flamenco Festival, and will present it in Málaga in the IV edition of the Bienal de Arte Flamenco de Málaga, in the Edgar Neville Auditorium.
Sergio has performed in countless festivals and theatres both national and international. Some of them are the Noubarris Festival in Barcelona, the Flamenco Summit in Madrid, the World Music Festival in Shangai, the Suma Flamenca Festival in Madrid, the San Pedro del Pinatar Flamenco Festival, the Berlin Flamenco Festival or the tours in the Netherlands along with María Juncal or in Canada and USA along with Disney’s “The Lion King”.
