This July, we will host an unrepeatable parade of flamenco stars during our 55th Anniversary Cycle of Tablao Flamenco Cordobes: Mercedes de Córdoba, Paula Comitre, Juan de Juan, Yoel Vargas, Águeda Saavedra, and Juan Tomás de la Molía. All of them will perform throughout the month, sharing the stage in duos or trios.
Mercedes de Córdoba, dancer and choreographer, merges emotion with the power of her dance. She was recently awarded the Lorca Award 2025 for Best Spanish/Flamenco Show for her piece Olvidadas.
Paula Comitre, winner of the Best New Artist Award at the XXIV Festival de Jerez and the Giraldillo Revelación at the XXI Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, has stood out in flamenco since her beginnings with the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía. She has just won the Lorca Award for Best Female Performer in Spanish Dance/Flamenco.
The creativity and passion of Juan de Juan, a dancer renowned for his deep knowledge and originality within traditional flamenco.
Yoel Vargas, Desplante Award 2023 winner, will captivate us with his commitment to flamenco and dance. His contemporary interpretation of Spanish dance, grounded in its roots and traditions, offers a fresh perspective.
Águeda Saavedra, one of the most prominent dancers on the new flamenco scene. Best New Artist at Festival de Jerez 2022 and Venencia Flamenca 2022.
Juan Tomás de la Molía, an emerging figure in flamenco dance, is known for his vibrant, spontaneous, and festive style. His latest performance was featured at this year’s Bienal de Sevilla.

MERCEDES DE CÓRDOBA
Considered one of the most powerful and authentic dancers of her generation, Mercedes de Córdoba boasts a solid and acclaimed career. From a young age, this Cordoban dancer has performed on major stages nationally and internationally alongside top flamenco singers and dancers.
In 2013, she received the National Flamenco Award in her hometown, marking the beginning of a successful phase with her own company. She has presented critically acclaimed shows at major flamenco festivals such as the Festival de Jerez, the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, and the Festival Flamenco de Madrid. Some of her shows include Sin Más, Ser. Ni conmigo ni sin mí, and Sí, quiero, the latter receiving several awards at the Festival de Jerez 2022.
Recently, she won the Lorca Award for Best Flamenco Show for Olvidadas and also received the Best Choreography Award.

JUAN DE JUAN
Born in Seville, Juan de Juan is a prominent figure in contemporary flamenco dance. Trained at the Royal Conservatory of Seville and a disciple of great masters like Antonio Canales, he began his professional career at 16 and became a principal dancer with the Ballet Flamenco de Canales.
He has performed and choreographed iconic works such as Torero, Gitano, and Cenicienta, appearing in world-renowned venues like City Center in New York, Champs Elysées in Paris, and Sadler’s Wells in London.
In 2004, he founded his own company, the Ballet Flamenco Juan de Juan, premiering shows like Al Sur, A solas, and Guitarra de cal, winning awards at festivals in Utrera and Morón. He has taken part in the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla and the Festival de Jerez, fusing flamenco with jazz, hip hop, and Black music in productions like Sones Negros and Mensajes con Alma.
Nominated for the Bessie Awards in New York, Juan de Juan is praised for his stage presence and his contributions to renewing flamenco without losing its essence.

PAULA COMITRE
Sevillian dancer Paula Comitre has stood out in the flamenco world since her early days with the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía. After performing with various companies, she began her solo career in 2017, performing in tablaos across Spain.
She has taken part in prestigious shows like El Encuentro and Nacida Sombra, showcasing her talent as both a solo dancer and choreographer.
In 2020, she was awarded Best New Artist at the XXIV Festival de Jerez and won the Giraldillo Revelación at the XXI Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla.
She recently received the Lorca Award for Best Female Performer in Spanish Dance/Flamenco. Her solo career continues to rise with successful performances such as Cámara abierta, Alegorías, and Après vous, Madame, in collaboration with prominent dance artists.

KARIME AMAYA
Born in Mexico into a family with deep flamenco roots, Karime Amaya is the grandniece of the legendary dancer Carmen Amaya.
She debuted at age 9 in her parents' company — dancer Mercedes Amaya “La Winy” and guitarist Santiago Aguilar — beginning her professional career at 12.
She won the Best New Artist Award at the Festival de Jerez and starred in the documentary Bajarí, nominated for the Gaudí and Goya Awards.
In 2012, she premiered Desde la Orilla at the Festival de Jerez, a piece inspired by nights spent on a beach across the Atlantic — just as her great-aunt Carmen Amaya found inspiration in the rhythm of the waves.

YOEL VARGAS
Born in Tarragona, Yoel Vargas began his dance training at age 9, specializing in Flamenco, Spanish Dance, Classical, and Contemporary. He trained with masters such as Antonio Canales, Rubén Olmo, Alfonso Losa, and Belén López.
He has received numerous awards, including the Gold Medal at Tanzolymp (Berlin, 2016), Outstanding Dancer at the Madrid and Tetuán Choreographic Competitions (2020), and the Dávalos-Fletcher Foundation Award (2021).
In 2021, he joined Compañía Manuel Liñán with the show VIVA!!, touring internationally. In 2022, he participated with the Opéra National du Rhin in Journal d’un disparu / L’Amour sorcier, recorded Pertenencia for Radio 3 (RTVE), and premiered Reyerta.
In 2023, he directed and choreographed the gala Flamenco, Tablao at Sona Flamenc Festival and created Óbito, winning 10 awards in Madrid. That same year, he received the prestigious Desplante Award at the Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas.
He is currently a soloist with Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana (New York) and has performed at Hollywood Bowl, Joyce Theater, and more. Finalist for the 2024 Princess of Girona Arts Award, he was named one of Dance Magazine's “25 to Watch” in 2025.

JUAN TOMÁS DE LA MOLÍA
From Trebujena (Cádiz), Juan Tomás de la Molía began dancing at the age of 6 at Peña de los Cernícalos in Jerez de la Frontera.
He studied under renowned teachers such as José Galván, El Choro, Javier Barón, and Rafael Campallo.
In 2018, he won first prize at the Manolo Soler competition of the Fundación Cristina Heeren, in 2019 the Federation of Flamenco Clubs of Seville Award, in 2020 first prize at the Flamenco Puro Competition at Festival de Jerez, and in 2022 first prize at the National Flamenco Art Contest of Córdoba.
He was part of the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía under Úrsula López and currently presents his show Vertebrado, premiered at the Festival de Jerez 2024 and directed by Manuel Liñán, for which he received the Best New Artist Award.
He is also part of the production Muerta de Amor by Manuel Liñán, premiered at Teatros del Canal in Madrid in June 2024.

ÁGUEDA SAAVEDRA
Águeda Saavedra began her dance training early, studying Spanish Dance and Flamenco at the Professional Conservatory of Málaga from age 8.
Throughout her career, she has earned multiple accolades and performed in prominent tablaos and flamenco festivals.
She has been part of companies led by Daniel Doña and Manuel Liñán, and served as a soloist with the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía under Úrsula López.
In 2022, she won the Best New Artist Award for her outstanding performance in Sí quiero by Compañía Mercedes de Córdoba, premiered at Festival de Jerez.
In 2023, she debuted her first solo show Venero, also at the Festival de Jerez. Her passion for dance has led her to teach and share her art internationally.

CRISTINA SOLER
Granada-born Cristina Soler has been part of the most influential flamenco companies in Spain, performing under artists such as Mercedes de Córdoba, Farruquito, Marina Heredia, Eva Yerbabuena, Rafaela Carrasco, and with the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía under Patricia Guerrero.
She has toured internationally in major flamenco festivals. As a soloist, her skill shines on Spain's most prestigious tablaos, captivating audiences with her emotional depth and interpretative power.
Cristina Soler represents the rich tradition and innovation of flamenco, showcasing her artistry on stages around the world.

SANDRA CISNEROS
Sandra Cisneros, a flamenco dancer from Málaga, has stood out from a young age for her dedication as a solo performer.
In 2019, she received second prize at the Villa Rosa Tablao Flamenco Competition, and in 2022 she was a semifinalist at the Concurso de las Minas de la Unión.
She holds a degree in Flamenco Dance from the “Pepa Flores” Professional Conservatory and graduated in Flamenco Choreography from the “Ángel Pericet” Superior Conservatory, Málaga.
After years of training, she has developed a distinct personal style, creating artistic and educational projects across Spain, France, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Cameroon, Morocco, Canada, and Russia.
Currently, she is immersed in the project María del alma mía, based on the life and work of philosopher María Zambrano, part of the Bienal de Flamenco de Málaga, with upcoming performances in Tokyo, Warsaw, Paris, and Santo Domingo.
