International Flamenco Stars, Flamenco Barcelona Tablao Flamenco Cordobes brings you one of the most powerful months in our programme, with a cast full of talent with some of the best and most famed flamenco artists in the international scene. We bring you José Maya, Juan de Juan, Karime Amaya and Yiyo as a part of the Flamenco Barcelona Spring. José Maya will be with us on the first week of the month, from the 1st of the 7th of April. Considered one of the most important dancers currently, he grew up as a child prodigy in a family of artists. He started his professional career at the Albéniz Theatre with only nine years of age, sharing stage with masters such as Antonio Canales, Juan Ramírez or Enrique Morente. He has worked with international music stars such as Mark Anthony, Beyonce or Björk and has collaborated with the most important flamenco artists in the last years: Tomatito, Güito, Ketama, Estrella Morente, Belén Maya, the Farruco family or Israel Galván, among others. Currently, he runs a flamenco dance school in Paris and is a regular contributor in Tomatito's and Barcelona's Tablao Flamenco Cordobes's shows, always on the elite of the flamenco world. Juan de Juan visits us again, in his first visit to the tablao in 2016, and will be with from the 8th of April until the end of the month. He is one of the most outstanding students of the master Antonio Canales and is considered one of the most important male dancers in recent years. His creativity and relentless search for new ideas and concepts has taken him to all kind of artistic projects, with flamenco always present in their core. A flamenco night with him is a guarantee of surprises and top quality flamenco. Karime Amaya is back to Cordobes for the whole month. Unrelenting and deserving heir to the Amaya family name, Karime keeps touring the world with her shows and taking her shows to theatres all over the world. New York, Tokyo, Albuquerque, Quito, New Mexico, Madrid or Mont-de-Marsan are some of the cities she has performed recently, either with her own shows or in collaboration with other famous artists such as Farruquito, Antonio Canales or Mario Maya. She is also one of the main characters of Eva Vila's documentary "Bajarí", which showcases the flamenco world in Barcelona. Yiyo will be with us as well from the 8th of April until the end of the month. He is one of the most promising young flamenco artists in Barcelona, already considered one of the future stars in the flamenco scene and regular collaborator of Tablao Flamenco Cordobes of Barcelona, where he performs everyday with some of the most important figures of the flamenco international scene. After his success in the La Suma Flamenca festival in Madrid, his name is already known in flamenco communities all over Spain. We present Anabel Rivera for the first time in Tablao Flamenco Cordobes. Born in Mentidero y La Viña (Cádiz), she made her debut with the great Pilar Ogalla, and was contacted by Miguel Bosé while she was part of Levantito, a flamenco band, to produce an album with him. She has performed all over the world with all kind of flamenco artists like Argentita, Manuela Carrasco, Marina Heredia, El Barrio, Gerardo Núñez, India Martínez or Alfonso Gamaza, among others. With them, an elite cast with top professionals, main characters on any stage, such as Sara Barrero, Olga Llorente and Lucía Campillo dancing; the master David Cerreduela, with Tuto and his son Israel Cerreduela playing the guitar; and Manuel de la Curra, Juan Manzano "Coco", Antonio Campos "Bocaillo" and Matías López "Mati" singing.
