ANGEL REYES

Flamenco dancer Ángel Reyes Montes, born in Córdoba on January 15, 1993, began dancing at the early age of three and at the age of nine began his elementary training at the Córdoba Professional Dance Conservatory.

YOEL VARGAS

Yoel Vargas, bailaor, dancer and choreographer from Tarragona.

Graduated from the Professional Conservatory of the Institut del Teatre in 2021 (Barcelona) and recent Honorary Award for Professional Education in the Arts of Catalonia.

Choreography La Flor de Granada, finalist in the 7th Tetuán District Choreography Contest and the 29th Spanish Dance Contest, with awards such as “From the Critics” or “AISGE to the Outstanding Dancer”. Interpretation Award at the National Convocation of Castellón.

He is currently a member of Cía Manuel Liñan and recently premiered his own pieces as a creator at festivals in Barcelona and Madrid.

Despite his young age, he has already toured cities around the world; New York, Miami, London, Mexico City, Bogotá, among others.

JESUS ORTEGA

Jesús Ortega (Badajoz, Extremadura, 1979) is considered the most international dancer and choreographer in Extremadura, the region that, together with Murcia and Andalusia, consolidated flamenco as an Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2010. Not in vain, Jesús Ortega is the benchmark for dance flamenco from this region not only as a teacher and soloist on stage and in his Flamenco Center, but also in the classrooms, where he has become the advisory technician for the University of Extremadura and the Diputación de Badajoz in the program “Aula Flamenco” that has already Consolidated, it is already part of the Flamenco en Red de Andalucía project, and of the didactic program of Universities such as that of Cádiz.

Soloist and choreographer of the teacher Cristina Hoyos throughout his career he has worked as a dancer and choreography assistant with directors of the stature of José Carlos Plaza in productions such as "Yerma", "Romancero Gitano", or "Poema del cante jondo". ”. As a dancer he took part in the film Hanna (2011) by British director Joe Wright, starring Saoirse Ronan, Eric Bana and Cate Blanchett. Also, as a dancer and choreography assistant for Cristina Hoyos, in the film “Lola” (2007) directed by Miguel Hermoso and which narrates the life of the artist Lola Flores (La Faraona).

The international vision of his way of conceiving flamenco has brought him before figures of public relevance such as the Duchess of Alba, the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles or the Emperor of Japan Naruhito.

SUSANA CASAS

Susana started to dance at the age of 8 years with José Galván. Later, she learnt from Matilde Coral and Manolo Marín.

STUDIES: Susana started to dance at the age of 8 years with José Galván. Later, she learnt from Matilde Coral and Manolo Marín.

CAREER: A few years later she started performing abroad making her debut in France in 1992 where she stayed for a few years. Then she travelled to Mexico DF and to Netherlands with the show “Fiesta Gitana” by Curro Vélez. In 1996 she went to Japan with the show “Carmen” by Yoko Komatsubara in which she danced with Alejandro Granados, Torombo and Luis Ortega.

She has filmed a couple of TV shows such as “Venta del duende” and participated in the film “Flamenco” by Carlos Saura with the ballet of Matilde Coral and in the documentary “Dances of the world” by the Discovery Channel.

In 1994 she joined the company of Mario Maya in the shows “De lo flamenco” and “De Cai a Cuba” that they presented in the Bienal of Seville.

She combined her jobs with performances in important tablaos such as the Cordobes in Barcelona, the Arenal, the Palacio Andaluz or Los Gallos de Sevilla.

She was part of the Ballet of Cristina Hoyos for six years in the shows “Arsa y Toma” by Ramón Oller, “Al compás del tiempo”, “Tierra Dentro” by José Luis Casto, “Tiempo y Compás” and “Yerma”, in which she was main dancer in 2003 and succeeded.

The following year she joined the Flamenco Andalusian Ballet of Cristina Hoyos in the shows “Viaje al Sur” by Ramón Oller and “Romancero Gitano” by José Carlos Plaza.

She has also collaborated in the didactic collection by Pedro Sierra “Ritmo Flamenco Rhythm”

RAQUEL HEREDIA REYES “LA REPOMPILLA”

Raquel Heredia Reyes, known artistically as La Repompilla, is the daughter of Rafaela La Repompa and guitarist Luis Heredia as well as Amparo Heredia’s sister. Born in Malaga in the centre of a gypsy family in 1979, she began dancing in New York at the age of 15, forming part of the company of Juan Andrés Maya. Like her sister, she moved to Malaga in 2002 and began to work at Mesón La Repompa. Over time he has shared the stage with great flamenco artists such as Juan Andrés Maya, Manuel Liñán, Amador Rojas, El Choro, Pepe Torres, etc.
