The audience know that only the elite of flamenco panorama performs on its stage. We are lucky enough to count on José Maya during the whole month of July on our stage. He is a prodigy of dancing since he was a kid and he was born into a family with a long artistic tradition. José Maya made his debut professionally when he was only 9 on the stage of Teatro Albéniz, at the festival where many important artists like Antonio Canales, Juan Ramírez o Enrique Morente also participated. He is considered one of the greatest bailaores of the world and he has collaborated with international music stars such as Mark Anthoy, Björk or Beyoncé and, of course, with the best flamenco artists of the last generations like Tomatito, Güito, Ketama, Estrella Morente, Belén Maya, los Farruco or Israel Galván, among many others.
In July we are going to welcome, once again, the strength and temperament of Karime Amaya. She is a renowned bailaora who has brought her shows and choreographies to stages all over the world. New York, Tokio, Alburquerque, Quito, Nuevo Mexico, Madrid o Mont-de-Marsas are some of the cities where she has performed as main artist. Besides her own spectacles, she has collaborated with the most important artists of this century like Farruquito, Antonio Canales o Mario Maya, among others. A flawless and refined technique allows her to show her enormous strength and tenacity on any stage.
We are also having Belén López back, from 6th July on. She is a precocious dancer in every aspect, her education in classical dance, which she also applies into her flamenco choreographies, allows her to make the most spectacular acrobatics without losing a shred of authenticity and flamenco aesthetic. Her career started when she was a child, during the inauguration of Carmen Amaya Street in Barcelona, in the presence of Barcelona’s Mayor Pascual Maragall.
Her tremendous conditions for dancing have brought her to the most important theatres of the world since she was a child. She has even represented Spain in the International Tourism Festival (Inturfest). Belén López is one of the most complete young bailaoras, as well as a reference of Catalan Flamenco.
We keep counting also on the young promises of Barcelona. El Yiyo will be performing until 7th July after the premiere of his new spectacle “El Yiyo, Trilogía Flamenca”, which combine tradition with fusion and electronic music. This show is the next steps towards the recognition of one of the most important projects of the flamenco future in Catalonia. Everybody is talking about his performance in the festival “La Suma Flamenca” in Madrid and at Tablao Flamenco Cordobes Barcelona. El Yiyo has become one of the flamenco artists that more attention is grabbing.
Along with them, on the stage of Tablao Flamenco Cordobes in July, a luxury cast for any flamenco show. Sara Barrero (1-14 July), Catalan dancer, with an extensive and valuable career behind her back as quality guarantee. She started her career at 16, and since then, she has travelled all over the world.
Master David Cerreduela, inseparable companion of Master Enrique Morente until his early demise, has also performed together with the current best flamenco artists. Antonio Santiago “Ñoño” and Justo Fernández “Tuto” will be performing alongside him.
Sara Salado, singer from Jerez de la Frontera, with performances all over the world, she recently interpreted “El Amor Brujo” at the Auditorio Nacional de Músca de Madrid, under the direction of Cristóbal Soler.

Antonio Campos “Bocaillo”, one of the last pearls of flamenco singers from Barcelona, was educated at Tablao Flamenco Cordobes together with the best artists. Manuel Tañé, native of Jerez de la Frontera and considered as one of the best current singers for dancing. He usually works for the most important flamenco artists. Tablao Flamenco Cordobes Shows
Dear customer, esteemed friend, unknown flamenco fan,
The historic and romantic nature of flamenco as a popular creation that started to become known in the middle of the XIXth century, mentioned by romanticist writers visiting Spain in their narrations, have placed this musical genre in the circles of culture and literature, while at the same time the show business has transformed it into a product for mass consumption completely deformed. The harmful influence that massive tourism has brought to promoters, producers and artists is widely known, far from the necessary aesthetics and education to be considered a part of flamenco culture. The calculated premeditation they act with, justifying their actions claiming that the tourist "doesn't know" or "doesn't understand", should be answered that they are the ones that are inadequate for flamenco.
Faced with this situation, the traveler and everyone interested in authentic popular culture has to confront the challenge of not letting anyone fool them. Unfortunately, the adequate source of knowledge is not advertising, not even the one offered by new technologies: We live in a society intoxicated with identical slogans.
Tablao Flamenco Cordobes can give you some tips:
The management of a tablao, like a pharmacy, has to be in the hands of artists or experts, true flamenco fans at the very least. They are easy to find in Madrid and a bit harder in Barcelona.
The historic tablaos offer you a picture of their shared memories with the greatest masters of flamenco, some with a selected cast with the best performers.
Tablao Flamenco Cordobes is together with these historic tablaos whose owners were artists and have lived its deepest nature and, apart from a long list of masters part of flamenco history, are one of the very few that have kept updating their shows throughout the years, bringing to their stage top performers, flamenco legends and young talents discovered by them.
Another characteristic of our stage is that we manage to bring them together at the same time, creating unique shows with the highest level of quality, only found in our stage and in the most important flamenco festivals.
