Jesús Carmona returns to Tablao Flamenco Cordobes after his time in New York and London

Jesús Carmona, one of the most international Catalan artists returns to dance in the historic tablao of Las Ramblas in Barcelona from the 16th to the 27th of September. Flamenco in Barcelona in Tablao Flamenco Cordobes.

Jesús Carmona returns to perform in his home, Barcelona, after passing through different points of the international geography.  The historic tablao of Las Ramblas brings the most international Catalan flamenco artist for twelve unique days (from the 16th to the 27th of September). Jesús Carmona, with a busy schedule of shows over the next few months, is a bailaor (flamenco dancer) who, among his most recent dates, will be attending the London Flamenco Festival or presenting his show ‘AMATØR’ in New York during the “Festival Lincoln Center Out Doors”.the winner of two Lukas Awards in London in 2018 (for best bailaor and best production for his show ‘IMPETU’S’), returns to Tablao Flamenco Cordobes with a clear commitment to great Catalan artists and the most international and critically acclaimed flamenco. The Barcelona native, who has been supported by Tablao Flamenco Cordobes since his professional beginnings, always returns to the historic stage of his homeland once or twice a year in the middle of his international tours since his first performance in 2010. 

 

 

Accompanying Jesús Carmona will be dancers Karime Amaya and Paloma Fantova. The dancer Karime Amaya is a member of the Amaya family and grand niece of “La Capitana” Carmen Amaya, one of the most famous dancers of all time. Karime Amaya has had the art of flamenco in her blood since an early age and has participated in festivals and theatres all over the world such as the USA, Ecuador, Mexico, France or different parts of Spain. 

 

The cast will complete the dance Paloma Fantova (until September 19th) and Águeda Saavedra (from September 20th to 30th). Paloma Fantova is a flamenco dancer born in Cadiz who started dancing at a very early age. The dancer took part in Manuela Carrasco’s choreographies in Japan and toured theatres all over the world such as New York, Washington, Paris, London or Cairo. In 2011 she participated in the show “Calé” by Joaquín Cortes and in January 2019 she presented her new show at the Jerez Festival: CUNA. For her part, the dancer from Malaga Águeda Saavedra began her studies at the age of 7 and at the age of 15 she entered the Conservatory of Dance in Madrid. The bailaora has travelled with her flamenco dance to countries all over the world such as the United States, England and Italy. She has also worked with great artists such as Jesús Carmona, with whom she has visited stages in China and Dubai, among others, with the show IMPETUS. The artist has also just participated in the series ‘Arde Madrid’, which covers the life of Ava Gardner. During the month of September, Tablao Cordobes will feature La Fabi (who presented her album ‘Fruto y Flores’ in 2019), El Coco, Bocaíllo and Antonio Fernández on vocals and David Cerreduela, El Tuto and Eugenio Santiago on vocals.
