Gema Moneo, awarded with the Venencia Flamenca at the La Mistela Festival

Gema Moneo will receive the 'Venencia Flamenca' award at the new edition of the 'La Mistela Festival' in Los Palacios and Villafranca (Seville). The young flamenco dancer has toured major venues and tablaos in Spain, such as Tablao Flamenco Cordobes, where she shared the stage with artists of the stature of Pastora Galván and Karime Amaya. Gema Moneo has also participated in works by Farruquito such as 'Sonería' or 'Improvisao'. The flamenco dancer from Jerez has also travelled all over the world with artists such as Joaquín Cortés, Diego del Morao, El Choro and El Farru.  Tablao Flamenco Cordobes. Flamenco Barcelona.

Gema Moneo will receive the ‘Venencia Flamenca’ award at the new edition of the ‘La Mistela Festival’ in Los Palacios and Villafranca (Seville). The young flamenco dancer has toured major venues and tablaos in Spain, such as Tablao Flamenco Cordobes, where she shared the stage with artists of the stature of Pastora Galván and Karime Amaya. The flamenco dancer from Jerez has also travelled all over the world with artists such as Joaquín Cortés, Diego del Morao, El Choro and El Farru. 

 

In 2018 Gema Moneo won the Revelation Prize at the Jerez Festival.  The flamenco dancer also premiered her own show ‘El Sonido de mis días’, with a cast made up of artists such as Jesús Corbacho, Manuel Tañé, Miguel El Lavi and the stellar appearance of her uncle Luis Moneo. His father Jesús Agarrado ‘El Guardia’, Juan Campallo and Ané Carrasco also took part. 

 

The ‘bailaora’ (flamenco dancer) receives a prize that her countryman María Terremoto received last year and which has also been awarded to artists such as Manuel Valencia, Patricia Guerrero, Rocío Márquez and Toñi Fernández. The La Mistela Festival, which had its first edition in 1973, is scheduled to be held between 29 May and 1 June. The programme is made up of flamenco artists such as María José Carrasco, Argentina and Diego Carrasco. The dancer Gema Moneo will perform on May 30 at the Teatro Municipal Pedro Pérez Fernández at 21:30 hours.
