Chelo Soto Robles, singer from Málaga, has displayed her great talent in many stages of the flamenco world, both nationally and internationally, in peñas (flamenco clubs), festivales and concerts.
She starts her professional career with only 16 years of age in Susana Lupiáñez’s dance company, where she stays for two years, learning the trade and performing in theatres, concert halls and festivals.
During her career, she has had the chance to perform in a large number of festivals, such as La Luna Mira de Carratraca, Río del Campo (Río Gordo), the Flamenco Festival of Canillas de Aceituno, the first Romi Flamenco Festival and the Gèneve Flamenco Festival, among others. Presently she has been working with the prestigious Joaquín Cortes flamenco dance company for a few years, traveling the world and performing in Russia, South America, USA, Turkey, Mexico, Portugal, Madrid and Barcelona.
She has performed with important artists such as Antonio Carmona, Jose Suárez “Paquete”, El Negri, Paloma Fantova, Karime Amaya and Belén López.
Chelo, with a very personal voice that captivates the public and a surprising power in her voice, is destined to be one of the powerhouses of flamenco in Málaga.
