Training: Dedication and artistry from her earliest steps
Born in Seville in 1994, Paula Comitre graduated from the Antonio Ruiz Soler Professional Dance Conservatory in Seville. Her passion for flamenco and unwavering commitment led her to join the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía in 2013 under the direction of Rafaela Carrasco, where she remained until 2016.

The first steps in flamenco

In 2016, joined David Coria’s company and performed in El Encuentro

In 2017, performed as a solo dancer and choreographer in Nacida Sombra by Rafaela Carrasco’s company

That same year, she launched her solo career, performing at top flamenco venues across Spain, including the iconic Tablao Flamenco Cordobes in Barcelona, where her artistry was praised by critics and audiences alike

In February 2022, she premiered Alegorías (El límite y sus mapas) at the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris, collaborating with contemporary dancer Lorena Nogal

In March 2022, she performed in the chamber opera La Mujer Tigre, a co-production between Teatro Lope de Vega and Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville

In May 2022, she premiered Cuerpo Nombrado at Festival Flamenco Madrid, a production later featured at major festivals such as the Flamenco Festival in London and the Festival de Arte Flamenco in France
Throughout 2023, in addition to her artistic residency in Paris, Paula was invited to collaborate on experimental projects that combine flamenco with technology and contemporary dance, showcasing her innovative spirit
She is currently in Paris on a creative residency granted by the Académie des Beaux-Arts at the Cité Internationale des Arts
