Sandra Cisneros is a flamenco dancer from Málaga, Spain, with deep roots in the Andalusian village of Almáchar. Renowned for her expressive artistry and technical mastery, Sandra has carved out a distinguished career as a soloist on the national and international flamenco scene. Studies:
She holds a professional degree in Flamenco Dance from the Conservatorio Profesional “Pepa Flores” and a higher degree in Flamenco Choreography from the Conservatorio Superior “Ángel Pericet”, both in Málaga. Her artistic training includes mentorship from world-renowned flamenco artists such as La Lupi, Antonio Canales, Joaquín Grilo, Eva Yerbabuena, and Farruquito.
Career:
From a young age, Sandra Cisneros showed a strong dedication to flamenco as a solo performer. She has been part of the permanent cast at prestigious tablaos such as Tablao Flamenco “Los Gallos” in Seville, Tablao Flamenco Alegría, Gallo Ronco, and Teatro Flamenco in Málaga, as well as Teatro Flamenco Madrid and Tablao de la Villa in Madrid.
She received the Second Prize at the Concurso Flamenco del Tablao “Villa Rosa” in 2019 and was a semi-finalist in the 2022 Festival Internacional del Cante de las Minas de La Unión, one of the most respected flamenco competitions worldwide.
Sandra’s career took a major turn after participating in the Bienal de Flamenco de Málaga in 2015. Since then, she has presented her work at important festivals and theaters across the globe, including France, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Cameroon, Morocco, Canada, Russia, and Japan. Her presence is also notable in top-tier Flamenco Show venues, making her a sought-after performer for audiences seeking authentic flamenco experiences.
Festivals:
Sandra Cisneros has performed at international events such as the Festival Flamenco de Lyon, Festival Duende de Poznań, Festival Flamenco de Tánger, and the Bienal de Flamenco de Málaga. She is currently involved in the original show “María del alma mía”, inspired by the life and work of philosopher María Zambrano, with upcoming performances in Tokyo, Warsaw, Paris, and Santo Domingo.
