Susana Escoda, born in L’Hospitalet del Llobregat (Barcelona) in 1977, began her flamenco dance training at the age of 7 at Ana Márquez’s school. Throughout her career, she has trained with some of the most renowned figures in flamenco, including Matilde Coral, El Güito, Manolete, Antonio Canales, Eva La Yerbabuena, and Belén Maya, developing a strong and elegant artistic style.
From an early stage, she stood out in the flamenco scene, winning the “Carmen Amaya” Award at the II Jóvenes Valores Dance Competition in Ciutat de l’Hospitalet. This recognition led her to perform at the IV Flamenco Dance Showcase of the city, where she shared the stage with leading artists such as Antonio “El Pipa”, Belén Maya, and El Mimbre.
Her career has taken her to major festivals and stages both nationally and internationally. She has performed as a soloist across Europe and in Japan, where she worked alongside Antonio “El Toleo”. For many years, she was a leading performer at the renowned El Cordobés tablao, establishing herself as a key figure in flamenco in Barcelona.
