The most international flamenco, Flamenco Barcelona
From Tablao Flamenco Cordobes we have always wanted to approach to local audiences, to get them to see flamenco with respect and feel its artistic expression so deeply rooted in Catalonia. We continue working on it, to retrieve a success and prestige that flamenco does have internationally, result of the hard work of professionals and artists as those we have with us this month.
After several years settled and creating her own shows with great success in the US, Auxi Fernández comes back to Cordobes with a new artistic weight, nominated for ACE Awards in New York, as best musical theater production of 2014 with the show "Flamenco".
Karime Amaya, one of the main representatives of the most international flamenco, will be with us throughout February. She performs every year in Albuquerque Flamenco Festival, and has performed in many prestigious international venues such as the Arts Presenters 46th Annual Members Conference, New York; “El Flamenco” tablao in Tokyo; Quito Flamenco Festival; Flamenco Arts Festival of Mont-de-Marsan in France; Monterrey Flamenco Festival Art and many others, either with her own show or with some of the highest figures in the world of flamenco as Antonio Canales or Farruquito.
We receive Yiyo once again, a young flamenco pearl from Catalonia, who has also enjoyed great success in Portugal, France and Taiwan and the rest of Spain, earning the right to be considered one of the most promising projects of flamenco dancing, especially after his success in the Suma Flamenca in Madrid. The star of the show “El Yiyo: Flamenco Dream” has shared the stage with stars of the Catalan flamenco as Mayte Martín or Duquende.
Stay with us this February Sara Barrero, dancer of great artistic weight in Catalonia flamenco. She has performed in many theaters and festivals around the world: Festival Mont de Marsans or flamenco festivals in Paris, Marseille, Lyon and Nimes in France, London Flamenco Festival, the Flamenco Festival of Tokyo, Jazz Festival in Prague or the Flamenco Festival in USA.
Alongside them, our great cast of musicians, accomplished travelers, used to travel around the world and visit the most important theaters: David Cerreduela and Tuto on guitar and Manuel Tañé, Antonio Luque "Canito", Juanjo de Nayeli and Maria del Mar Fernández singing.
