Tablao Flamenco Cordobes participates with two great shows in the Ciutat Flamenco Festival in Barcelona

The best flamenco in Barcelona will once again have an unmissable date with critics and fans next May. The Festival Ciutat Flamenco, organised by Taller de Músics, is one of the great flamenco events in Barcelona and Spain and will reach its twenty-sixth edition in 2019. It is currently considered one of the festivals that research flamenco and the discovery of new forms and artists. In this new edition, Tablao Flamenco Cordobes will participate with two shows in its clear compromise to the defence and diffusion of flamenco that will be held on 19th and 26th May. The historic Las Ramblas venue will feature dancers Karime Amaya, Paloma Fantova and Juan de Juan and guitarist David Cerreduela among other great flamenco artists.

The organisation itself stresses that the evolution of the genre “would not have been the same” without the existence of flamenco in Barcelona, a city where there have been historical events that have marked the trajectory of this cultural manifestation (such as the births of great artists and the performances of the best artists). Ciutat Flamenco is an event that is already unavoidable for flamenco lovers who are looking to enjoy great artists, as well as discovering new figures.

In 2019, the year in which the 40th anniversary of the Taller de Músics is celebrated, the festival will host the first edition of the Congress on Flamencology and Flamenco Pedagogy. The Ciutat Flamenco Festival will feature artists such as Miguel Poveda, Chicuelo, María Terremoto, Antonio Lizana, Rocío Márquez, Pere Martínez, Iberiana, Antonio Rey and La Chana among others.
